![]() Meet Jennifer Elwell. Mother, artist, philosopher, equestrian, and an advocate for the American farmer. I owe a lot to my mom. She always encouraged me to do what I love. So, here I am. As a child I loved riding horses on our small Kentucky farm, art and academics. While my career goals ran the entire gamut--veterinarian, lawyer, teacher, genetic engineer (really)--my love of horses and involvement in the 4-H youth program directed me to the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture. There I discovered a way to meld my talents and passion. I earned degrees in Animal Sciences (Equine) and Agricultural Communications and have been enthusiastically working in the agricultural industry for the past 12 years. I have a real passion for advocating for our American farmers, for they are producing the safest, most affordable and abundant food supply in the world. Agriculture has a story to tell, and I want to do my part to help tell it - the facts about modern food production. You are welcome to follow me and my projects, so that you too can hopefully gain an appreciation for farming. |
